Jd March 07, 2023 for Model Number GSHL5KGXBCLS My refrigerator does not dispense water. I recently replaced the water manifold but still no water. Can you help. Thanks.
1 Answer JD, First, make sure the water line that runs up the freezer door is not frozen. Open the doors and remove the kickplate, you will find the water line that supplies water to the door with a connector. Disconnect the fitting close the doors back and press the water pad to call for water and see if water comes thru the tube that goes under the unit. If no water is coming thru when you pressed the pad then a Voltage check for 120 VAC at the water valve needs to be done. Need 2 people, one to press the pad while the other checks for voltage. If you have voltage and no lines are frozen in the unit then replace the valve. If you find water to the door but not at the dispenser then the only repair would have been to replace the door from a void in the insulation. Unfortunately that door is NLA. Read More...
Rick S. May 19, 2022 for Model Number GE DSE25JGHECWW After replacing water filter i had no water so replaced water solenoid valve, same as the original one, still no water, so ordered a water filter manifold and it came with threaded fittings on the water lines to the solenoid and my solenoid uses push in connections, so sent it back to other part place. Watching your instruction videos for water Filter manifold it has threaded water lines but the video for the water solenoid valve the water lines are push in. Can you help me?
1 Answer Rick, the water filter manifold will have the water supply line from the house connect to the male threaded fitting while the other fitting will go onto the threaded portion of the water valve. There will then be 5/16" tubing coming from the water reservoir WR17X11440 and a 1/4" tubing coming from the ice maker fill tube that would go into the quick connects under the valve solenoids. Dalwyn January 09, 2022 for Model Number DSHF6VGBCCBB I have a GE refrigerator model DSHF6VGBCCBB. Everything was working fine. I replaced the MWF water filter with a "Everydrop Value Ice & Water Refrigerator Filter" from Lowe's and there was low and then no water flow from the dispenser. I put the bypass cap on and still now water flow. Could replacing a MFW filter with a generic damage the filter head? I don't want to replace the filter head and put the same generic filter back on and get the same damage. Thank you.
1 Answer Dalwyn, While it is possible that the generic filter could have caused this, it would most likely just be that the filter head went bad. Read More...
Mark February 20, 2021 for Model Number GFSS6KKYBSS The refrigerator started making a rattling noise on my GE Profile Model # GFSS6KKYBSS. I thought it might be a crimped in take line - but after replacing it and still having the issue, thought it might be connected to the water filter housing/manifold, but can't seem to find the part number for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Mark, the water filter head/fitting is starting to fail, it is part WR17X12512 Read More...
Marc In Soflo April 23, 2020 for Model Number PFSS6PKXASS When I search on my GE refrigerator model (PFSS6PKXASS) for a replacement water filter head it takes me to your part #AP4345249 which runs $179.80. But, I was doing additional research and found a video showing installation of your part#AP6891555 into a GE refrigerator. These 2 parts look identical and are both for the GE filter model MWF. But, the second part is $41.36, a HUGE difference. Will part#AP6891555 work for my needs? I hope so. Thanks!
1 Answer Marc, Based on the model provided the manufacturer part# is WR17X12469 and our part number is WR17X12469. These parts do not show to cross over to each other and all the part numbers listed in the cross-reference are different. Based on the information provided I would recommend the use of the part recommended by the manufacturer. Read More...
John Jerrehian April 16, 2019 for Model Number GSS25GSHBCSS SERIAL AG403645 I was on your site getting ready to buy new water filters and took filter out of fridge to confirm. When I put back in - no water. Tried numerous options but still the same. This fridge is about 2-3 years old and came with my Lennar Home. Can't seem to find the model number... I was going to buy a new manifold and tube, (WR17X20860) but can't confirm. Would this be the correct water fill head for this fridge? Thank you! John

Mark October 06, 2018 for Model Number GSS25KSWCSS From what I can tell my refrigerator needs replacement part number WR17X12203 for MSWF filters. Can I replace the the manifold and tube for a MWF filter, WR17x20860? MWF filters are more available and less expensive than MSWF.
1 Answer Mark, It appears that the MSWF filter is slightly smaller by about 1/2" from the MWF filter and may have different spacing of the screw holes which would mean it will not work. Read More...
