Katie for Model Number GSS25TGPE Our freezer (side x side) seems to get warmer than what it should for a defrost cycle. There is water that drips off of the back left corner of the ice cube tray. It used to drip so that icicles would form on the back left side all the way down. Then I put a bowl under it to catch the water. Some stuff in the freezer seems to unthaw a little, but not alot. Some water bottles I have in there thaw out so there's a little water in them. Then it will seem to start working again. We also empty out the ice cubes when we see it starting to happen and turn off the ice maker. At the same time in the fridge, the veggie drawer freezes anything that's in there and sometimes the lower drawer as well. Then it starts working ok again. Usually lasts about a day or so. Any ideas?
Answer Hello Katie. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board WR55X10942C is sticking in the defrost cycle and you will need to replace the control board on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 18, 2012
