Mark for Model Number GSH25VGRECC I have replaced the water filter a couple times over the years without incident, but this time, when I removed the filter and installed the bypass, water started spewing from the filter head. I quickly replaced the bypass with the filter again but water continued to spew from the filter head. I can't see any explanation but had to just turn the water off (so now no ice either!) until I get a clue what could be wrong. Anyone? Thanks in advance.
Answer Hi Mark. If the Filter Head part # WR02X45206 has a burr where the bypass faces it then it will not properly seal. The water supply comes from the water valve part # WR57X33326. If the valve has not closed and you are getting full pressure (with the power off the valve) then it will be an issue. Remove the water line going to the filter head from the valve. Turn the house valve back on and the units valve should not spew water unless the valve is defective. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 26, 2012
