Jim L. for Model Number xl44 ge range i am converting a xl44 from nat to propane i switched the burner spuds and the regulator i don't have different orfices for the oven but when i took it off it looks like there is a smaller one inside what do i need to do or change to finish this thank you
Answer Jim, The smaller spud, inside or under the orifice on the bake burner valve is called the LP conversion pin. You'll need to install the original hood and turn the hood clockwise until the orifice hood "bottoms out" on the LP pin. once you have the hood adjusted down, you'll need to adjust the air shutter on the burner tube. You'll want it to be to the full open position and adjust it slightly closed until you have a blue flame and little or no yellow or white tips, after the burner has cycled for a few minutes.
