Ed for Model Number JSP42WOK3WW When I turn on the breaker for this range/oven, "locked door" flashes on the screen, the time displays correctly, and there is a sound similar to a small motor running. The door is not locked and when you open the door, the sound stops. The range top burners work, but I cannot get the 'Bake' button to work to set a temperature and start the oven. I do not get an error code. Any clue as to what my be going on? Thanks,
Answer Hello Ed. You will need to test the lock assembly WB14T10018 on the unit and see if it is bad and will need to be replaced. If the switch reads closed, but the door is not locked, it will need to be replaced. if the lock is good, then replace the board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
