This genuine replacement part is an oven control board. The oven control board is the main circuit board that controls the ovens' essential functions. If the oven isn't heating properly, not turning on, or showing an error code on the digital display, it might be time to replace the control board. Replacing a control board may seem like a difficult task, but it is a relatively simple process. Start by unplugging the range. After that, move the appliance away from the wall to gain access to the back. Remove the upper back panel, and locate the control board. Take note of the orientation of the wires using a phone camera. Then detach the wire harness from the old control board. Remove any individual wires with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Then re-attach the wires to the new control board in the correct terminals. Snap the new control board into place and re-install the upper back panel of the range. This OEM replacement part is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand ovens.

Geoffrey for Model Number Jbp66skss

This cooker is stamped 230V EXPORT ONLY at the back. The control panel has burnt before, I am not sure why. And the electrician who opened it is not myself. Client bought replacement panel plus a 230/110 V step down transformer. But the wiring doesn't seem to have been with a transformer: The red live wire from the house is connected by itself while black and the white (neutrals) are together on the neutral block. Does this cooker need a transformer or is it geared for 230V?

1 Answer

Geoffrey, This unit is a 240 vac unit and sounds like someone wire the terminal block wrong. The black wire should be on one of the outer terminals and the white on the center and the red on the other outer to be able to be operated properly.

JP Atlanta, The only part that would be needed will be the control board of the unit as the touch pad is a separate part.

I have a slide in model range. F7...56/E6 is up on the key pad. The stove top works perfectly fine no issue at all. But panel will not let me use the oven/clock/timer due to the error code. Should I purchase a new ERC? I had a repair guy come in which I paid money to do the assessment...he was not completely sure which part was malfunctioning and wanted to order the ERC. 4 weeks later he tells me it is out of stock everywhere. The part he was after was WG02F00811....checking online I don't think he even has the right part number. Please help!

Allen, The oven control board for this unit would be part number WB27T10416. With the error showing this may be a bad touch pad but the control board could also be the issue.

Hello Walter. Shorted matrix or START key. Determine if problem is with key panel or control by disconnecting ribbon cable and measuring flat cable using pinout chart. Allow up to 1000 ohms when pressing a key.

I have a slide in model range. F7..56 came up on keypad. The top of the range still worked fine. I tried the insulating with card suggestion but it didn't make any difference. I ordered a new keypad which we have just fitted 2 hours ago. The keypad is still unresponsive apart from the clear/off button and the start button makes a beep. As yet there is no error code! The clock is working but cannot be reset. If the error code does not come back will it still mean that I need a new ERC? The oven/broil heating elements look ok as far as I can see. What else can /should I check, please?

Hello Jane, If the touchpad did not correct the issue and the connection at the ribbon cable is good you will have to replace the control WB27T10416.

Patrick, With the self clean canceling itself, this issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control board.

Kcken for Model Number 110.2897790

Kenmore Series 90 washer, circa 1999, 110.28922790 model number. This is a direct drive washer; I have never had a problem with it. About a month ago, I needed to replace the direct drive coupling. However the new one only lasted ~4 weeks, which perhaps indicates that there is something more that is a problem (the first one lasted ~15 years, the second one lasted less than a month). I think it may be acting as a mechanical fuse. However, I also note that turning the drum by hand is very difficult, like perhaps the brakes are binding. I don't have another washer to compare it to, nor do I know when the brakes might engage or when the brakes release. It spins OK, gets the clothes good and dry, but if I override the switch and observe, it seems it takes longer than normal to get to full speed. And it whines like a banshee when just starting the spin cycle. Brakes? Although if the brakes are dragging, the clutch cannot be far behind. AP3094537 is the correct clutch assembly (per the model number Appliance Compatibility Tool). And it comes with a new Brake Cam Driver; is this what engages and releases the brakes? Seems I would also need the special tool to remove the drum. Thank you for any assistance and guidance as I diagnose this problem. Repair is a much preferred alternative to replacement. And I don't desire a service call in addition to replacement, if it isn't something that is easily fixable.

KCKen, The issue that you are having would more likely be caused by the brake dragging. To be able to replace the brake and drive tube assembly you would need to remove the inner basket of the unit which will require a spanner wrench TB123B. Here is a link to a video that will help you with replacement of the brake assembly. http://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/zqyo2niyl0?controlsVisibleOnLoad=true&plugin%5Bsocialbar-v1%5D%5Bbuttons%5D=email-twitter-googlePlus-facebook&version=v1&videoHeight=237&videoWidth=422&volumeControl=true&autoPlay=true
