Angelo for Model Number JGBP35CEACC Like everyone else my boiler works on my ge xl44 but the igniter for baking doesn't. I went to switch the two igniters while waiting for the new one to come but there are two different connection leads. The broiler is a white plastic fitting that snap connects to the wiring while the bake element has a hot and ground wire to separate connections. I was wondering if I would be ok splicing the connections and if so if I need to re-insulate or take any special considerations as its in an oven?
Answer Hello Angelo. Yes, you can splice the igniter WB2X9154, but you will need to use ceramic wire nuts DE81-08428A to insulate the wires. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, November 3, 2011
