Gec for Model Number PFS22MISBWW GE Profile Mod#PFS22MISBWW. I replaced the main control board and now the temperature is still sitting at 74° degrees. I hear the compressor running but no cooling 3 hours later. Temperature is the same for freezer and refrigerator. What else could be wrong? Condenser fan is spinning nicely now though. It was only spinning slow when I gave a nudge before board replacement. I don't hear any clicking noise and never have.
Answer Hello Gec, I would replace the condenser fan motor and verify that the compressor is running, and let the unit run for an hour or so then remove the rear wall of the freezer compartment and check the frost pattern. It should be fairly even all the way top to bottom with the frost a bit thinner near the bottom. If there is no frost at all, the compressor is most likely at fault with an internal failure. If there is an ice ball where the Freon lines enter the evaporator compartment, there has been a Freon loss. Verify also that the evaporator fan motor runs full speed without assistance. If not, it has failed. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 18, 2014
