Bob for Model Number GTWN4250D0WS Washer washes and spins dry nicely. However, I notice some water remains in the outer tub below the level of the inner tub. After a few days it gets quite moldy and smelly. Should this water be remaining, or should it have drained out? I run a spin/drain only cycle and no more comes out... just whatever is in the inner tub. Please reply. Thanks.
Answer Bob, the washer will retain some water in the tub due to the drain pump having to work against gravity to get the water out. However, there should not be very much water left in the tub, at most a thin amount at the base. For the odor, it would be recommended that the washer is ran through an empty cycle with Affresh W10549845 every so often and that the lid is left open when done with the washer. Read More...
