Jeff for Model Number SCB1000MBB001 The display on my microwave sometimes displays random characters (flickers) when turning the Select knob, pushing the buttons, and/or while heating up food. The microwave works fine otherwise. Sometimes I need to reset the microwave by toggling the breaker to get it to work right. To try to remedy the situation I bought part WB27X10856 (Digitron). After installing the part and upon plugging in the unit, the 1st relay clicks but the 2nd relay by the front panel does not energize. So, the microwave does not turn on (to standby mode). When I install the original Digitron, the microwave turns on as usual. Did I order the incorrect part (Digitron) or is there another part that is failing? From a web search, parts WB27X10858 and WB27X10861 could be suspect. Which parts do you suggest I try replacing next?
Answer Jeff, it would be recommended that the transformer WB17X10021 is tested. With the power supply to the appliance turned off, the white wire and black wire tested together should measure 23.2 Ohms when tested with a meter. It should measure 1.5 Ohms from the yellow wire to the black wire, 5.2 Ohms from black wire to white wire, and 1.1 Ohms from the red wire to the brown wire. If these readings check good, the likely failure would be the power control board WB27X10861. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 10, 2021
