Steve for Model Number GE ZSC1001KSS01 Hi, after cleaning the inside of my GE ZSC1001KSS01 microwave with a little water, the display got wacky but after leaving the door open for an while, it restored perfectly. Then, after a week, the microwave stopped working (only the turntable would slowly rotate with the door closed). Checking the components, I found smoke residue on the power board AP3882298, the transformer WB17X10021 and inside the cabinet by those parts. After reading some posts here, I checked for voltage from the transformer to the power board at connection CN7 and tested the Ohms on the transformer. All readings were bad so I contacted AppliancePartsPros and was advised that the turntable rotating with the door closed indicates a relay control WB27X32849 failure which can also stop sending 120VAC to the power transformer. So, I replaced that part. Now there is still no power, only “beeps” when you press various buttons on the keypad. Also, the turntable no longer rotates when the door is closed. What part(s) would you recommend I try replacing next? I understand that GE has discontinued the transformer WB17X10021 but it is still available (NOS) from other online vendors. Would you start by replacing the power board AP3882298? Or the transformer WB17X10021? Both parts? The control display board WB27X10858? Something else? Is there something else that I can test with my trusty Ohm meter? Thanks!
Answer Steve, If the display is working then the transformer should be fine and it would be more likely that the power board would be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, December 4, 2023
