Mary Singleton for Model Number JVM1790WK01

I ordered and received a replacement GE Microwave Main Control Board. Order # 629 0593 I was told it is quite easy to replace. There were no instructions in the shipping carton as to how to remove the current control board and replace it with the new board that was shipped to me. I could not find instructions on line for replacing my old board with the new board. Is there an instruction video online or printed instructions you could e-mail to me? Help! Thanks, Mary Singleton

Answer

Mary, This will be an easy repair. You would need to remove the screws at the top of the unit that is holding the air grill at the top in place. Once these are removed you slide the air grill to one side and then remove it. Once the air grill is removed you will then remove a single screw that holds the control panel in place. Lift up on the control panel and remove the part. The control board will be attached to the control panel with screws. Mark the wires to where they go. Reinstall in reverse.
