Mike for Model Number PVM1790DR1WW GE Microwave Mod# PVM1790DR1WW will pause randomly, mostly when I try to start heating something, but sometimes it pauses out of nowhere. The turntable stops whenever it pauses. Sometimes the turntable stops but microwave continues but it does not say pause on the screen. Looking to see if this might be the turntable motor or possibly the control board going bad? Hitting the cancel does not stop the microwave when paused but opening the door does. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer Mike, with an intermittent failure, the issue would most likely be in the main control WB27X10866. The touchpad WB07X11342 ribbon can be tested for continuity from the ribbon position 5 to position 10. If there is only continuity when the start/pause button is pressed, the touchpad is good.
