Svfair for Model Number JVM1790WK01 Good morning. We have a GE Profile JVM1790WK01 Microwave. About two weeks ago, it stopped working. The Primary Interlock Switch failed the Volt Meter Test. I replaced the Primary Interlock Switch and the Holder Locker. I did notice that the top wire within the connector to the primary switch had a burn mark. But the connector looked ok. The microwave worked for about two weeks. After that, very erratic behavior. Including total shutdown. Not flowing fuses. Typically, you can depress the CLOCK button to restore the display. Opening / closing the door would also cause the unit to fail / start to work. I tested all three switches. All OK. The top is N/O. Middle N/C and the bottom one is N/O. Alignment of the mounting (Holder Locker Part) which I also replaced when I replaced the switch appears good. I tested the switches while they were in the unit (Pulled control panel and the individual switch connectors). Last night I cut off the connector for the primary switch and replaced the connector for the upper connector (White + Red). I used a heavy gauge wire and soldered the wire to the White + Red Wires. For the first time in two weeks, the unit worked fine. All functions worked. Heated water for over 2 minutes, twice. Able to control the fan, light, turntable, etc. About 30 minutes later, the unit "blanked" out. No display, not able to activate Fan or light. Opening / closing the door has some impact. The keypad works erratically. I pulled the plug. I am wondering if the Main Control Board (WB27X10866) is to blame. I appreciate any / all assistance. Thanks Steve
Answer Svfair, Check the thermostats to make sure that they are not bad but if they are good then replace the control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, September 19, 2022
