Patty for Model Number RGB740BEH3WH My oven takes a while to ignite and when it does I will smell gas and then it blows fire out the sides , also my flame is yellow/ orange not blue
Answer Hello Patty. You will need to check the igniter on the unit. As for the flame, make sure the burner and orifice are clean and not rusted. Also, make sure the unit is set to the proper gas type. Test for 3.0-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
