Rick for Model Number pfcs1jwa ss Refridgerator is a 25" counter depth model pcfs1jwa ss. Side by Side doors with freezer drawer. When unit goes into what I think is a defrost mode it gets to warm before cooling down again.
Answer Rick, The normal defrost time for the unit would be between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the need. The unit does start to warm up due to the heater on the unit coming on and being on for a period to clear off the coils. If the unit is staying in defrost for longer than these times then it would be recommended to test the defrost thermistor and make sure that at 0 degrees it has a resistance reading of approximately 42.2K ohms, at 36 degrees would be 14.4K ohms and at room temp of 77 degrees would be 5K ohms of resistance.
