Olston G. for Model Number MODEL # PSS26MSRA SS SERIAL # FG409433 My GE refrigerator MODEL # PSS26MSRA SS SERIAL # FG409433 is over freezing in the food section side. Gets too cold on the refrigerator side. It was suggested it might be the damper assembly. Can you tell me how to check/verify that my damper is working or not working? It was also suggested that it might be the temperature sensors, is this possible or is it more likely the damper assembly? if its more likely the damper, how do I check/verify the damper is bad? or how do I check/verify that the sensors are bad?
Answer Olston, You will want to remove the damper assembly WR49X10091 and make sure that the door is not broken off the damper. This will be the most likely cause for this issue. You can test the sensor at the main board for a resistance of 5K ohms of resistance at room temp. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 10, 2018
