Steven for Model Number PSS25MGMA WW

Dear Adviser, My fridge has two issues: 1. It used to produce clicking noise intermittently. Really hard to judge which section is the source. It seems either the damper area or in the freezer area. 2. Now the clicking noise is gone, but it seems not stopping running, even after I tried to adjusted the temperature to 1 for both section. Although it seems currently temperature is normal for both sections. What could be the issue, damper or defrost thermostat? Thanks, Steven

Answer

Steven, there are several things that will cause a clicking noise, the damper trying to adjust, an evaporator fan blade hitting pieces of ice in the freezer section. Keep an eye on the temperatures in both sections, if one side gets off too much, you may need to replace the damper assembly.
