David S. for Model Number ZFSB23DNDSS Ordered part AP3775595 - refrigerator damper assembly- which is compatible with my GE refrigerator. Vegetables/ fruits were freezing. I removed the old part and noted the damper door was broken. I replaced the complete part with your new part. Items in the same bin are freezing again. Is the new assembly bad?
Answer Hello David, You should try adjusting the temperature in the fresh food compartment to a COLDER setting. I know you will first say this is backward and will cause more of a problem, but actually setting the control to a bit colder in the fresh food compartment will cause the unit to circulate the air more often in there, preventing the colder air from settling to the bottom and freezing items in the drawers.
