Julio for Model Number PSS26SGRBSS I have a manual from GE that says that to check the FF fan I need to measure the resistance across the fan and that if it is higher than zero, the fan is open and we need to change it. When I measure the resistance in my fan, I find that it is more than 4 Mohms... then I order this part and when it arrives it also measures more than 4 Mohms... Did they send me a bad part? Thanks!
Answer Julio, the most accurate way to test the fan motor is to test for voltage supply. Using a meter, the red probe would go to the red wire and the black probe would go to the black/white wire of the wired connection while the door switch is taped in the shut position.
