Lisa E for Model Number PSCS3RGXCFSS Our GE Profile makes a clicking noise every couple seconds, for around 5 minutes, a few times a day. The sound is coming from the back, so it must be the control board. In-between the clicks, the damper is making a sound. Hard to describe - maybe a mechanical gurgling or tapping? Sometimes it makes this sound without the clicking. I don't know if it's normal or not. The fridge light also flickers slightly with the clicks. Knowing nothing, I'm imagining that the board is trying to open or close the damper over and over until it finally succeeds. Sometimes it's stuck, sometimes not. Could this be the case? Could the problem be only a bad damper assembly or only the control board, or is it most likely both? Any advice on how to diagnose or proceed?
Answer Lisa, It would be more likely the relay on the control board is faulty and would recommend that the control board be replaced for this issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, March 18, 2021
