Johnathon for Model Number PSS5NGMD BB I turned the power off and installed this part (AP3775595). Everything went fine. I turned the fridge back on and now the temperature control panel does not show any readouts. As you are aware it is extremely unlikely that anything has shorted out. I hate coincidences so am extrely wary of just replacing the control panel. If some how the new part is the cause, I will damge a new control panel. What do you recommend? Order a new control panel and assume it was a coincidence, or return this part and order a replacement and a new control panel? Something else.
Answer Hello Johnathon. First retrace your steps and make sure there are no wires loose or unpluged. If everything looks good, you will need to test and see if there is power coming to the control panel. If there is power there, but no display, you will need to change the control panel. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
