Terrell Roberts for Model Number 36316219100 I am in process of installing seal pump housing on the shaft of drain pump. It is a small rubber seal. There is a metal clip that has to be removed from the shaft in order to get to the rubber seal. The repair video instructs to cut the metal clip off because if you try to slide it off the shaft it will damage the shaft. Much to my chagrin, there was no metal clip with the rubber seal. Why? Can I get it at Home Depot? Thanks.
Answer Terrell, Not all GE dishwashers have a "tinnerman/push on clip" [WR2X7054] older machines had an "E" clip and washer that were "reusable" so they probably don't include the push on clip with the seal, for that reason. We wouldn't know if a local hardware store or home improvement center would have an "e" clip and washer or a push on clip that would fit the drain lever shaft.
