Bob for Model Number J2B918WEK3WW Upper oven works fine, with a new control board just replaced due to damage from whole house power surge. But, lower oven will not maintain temperature. Knob works, panel light works, but if set for say, 250 deg., it does not stop there when heating--I turned it off at 350 (verified with handheld IR temp sensor). I have not ascertained how high it might go if left unattended. Trying to figure out how to repair, and more specifically what part(s) would be needed? Don't see a lower oven temp sensor in parts diagrams, which I would have suspected as bad.
Answer Bob, with the power supply cord unplugged, it would be recommended that the wires and elements are tested for continuity to ground. If one does show as having continuity to ground, then that part would need to be replaced. If there is not continuity, the oven thermostat WB20K10017 has failed and would need to be replaced.
