Ray for Model Number GE WCVH6600H front loader What's best way to lift tub up high enough to hook on new spring since spring hardly stretches and tub weighs a ton. Do I take front and rear tub counterweights off first? Do I replace both springs even though only one broke? Washer 4 years old exactly.
Answer Hello Ray. The best way to raise the tub high enough to hook the springs, is to stack a few 4x4's or 2x4's under the tub and let them support the weight of the tub. You will need someone to help you do this, but as you lift the tub, they can place the board under it and support the weight. This way you do not need to remove the counter weights off the unit. If one spring broke, it would be best to replace both springs WH05X10009 at the same time. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, November 3, 2011
