Boomtown for Model Number DDE7500GAL Electric Dryer won't come on. The two thermostat's in the front check good for continuity. Could the door switch stop the dryer from coming on if it were bad? I took the wires off and checked it for continuity, nothing, when I pushed the button in nothing.
Answer Boomtown, Yes the door switch could keep the dryer from starting and running. When you open the door(plunger out) there should be an "open" circuit across the terminals, with the door closed(plunger in) the circuit should be "closed". You're sure you have both breaker set and locked and you have 240 VAC to the terminal block on the back of the dryer? Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
