David for Model Number GDF620HGJ0BB Put my dishwasher in diagnostic mode because my dishes weren't drying. Tested the heating element and high limit switch, both have continuity. I have read that the flood switch can be a problem, but not entirely sure. How can I test it and is there something I'm missing?
Answer David, The flood switch can be tested for continuity. There is a white/red wire and an orange/gray wire that you would put your meter leads to and there should be continuity. If not then the flood switch is faulty and would need to be replaced. When the water is at a certain level the flood switch will open the contacts. There is also 2 aqua/black wires that you can do a resistance test on. The resistance should be approximately 10.45K ohms at 75 degrees. Read More...
