Lance for Model Number ZDP48N6R I have a GE Monogram Dual Fuel Range with 6 burners and a grill. The grill has been finicky lately and I have had to move the knob to different positions to get the grill to light or remain lit. It would seem that based on this I need an ignitor switch?
Answer Hello Lance, Gas appliances are a bit more sensitive to spills since gas flow is easily disrupted. I would first clean around the burner area and check that nothing is obstructing the orifice. Any panels of metal that are screwed together should be loosened and re-tightened to ensure a proper ground to the burner. This is the electrical ground for the surface burners ignitor. If this checks good, since it is not ignitors' fault the flame went out, I would consider changing the valve WB21X5357 for that burner. Read More...
