Dave for Model Number whse5240docc The washer overflowed until it shut down. The timer didn't advance so I put the timer to spin and the timer still won't advance. Can the pressure switch cause the timer to lock out and stop advancing? Do I need a timer and a pressure switch? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hi Dave. Access your back area of your panel and release the pressure hose from the pressure switch. Then blow back into the pressure switch and see if there are any obstructions. If there was then you will need to remove the inner basket and clean all the lint , build- up. There is a "dome" pocket on the side of your tub where the pressure hose plugs into. Here is where lint , debris, and soap suds will build up and cause over flow issues. If this does not cure the problem, then you will need pressure switch part # WH12X10093. Check to make sure your pump is cleared totally. This will stall the timer also. Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, July 22, 2011
