Joe for Model Number gss25lgmb ww I have a refrigerator that's about 5 to 6 years old. I had the motherboard replaced once. Once the mother board was replaced the water dispenser and ice stop working. I hear the door flap open but no ice. I remember that the door had gotten wet from the ice melting when the board went bad. I just wanted to know if maybe the local technician put the wrong board in or if something on the front of the door got wet. Also the door that opens to let the cool air in from the freezer side to the refrigerator side is broken so I have to keep both sides on a low setting. Where can I get the part and what is it called?
Answer Hello Joe, If the auger motor got wet it is probably frozen. Remove the ice bin and use a hair dryer on it for about 15 minutes and it should operate normally. We sell the door that allows the cold air to be shared with the fresh food side and it is called the damper assembly WR49X10091. Read More...
