Tom for Model Number GE dde 7900mal My drier does nothing when I try to start it. Literally nothing. The light does come on in the drum and I've tested that it's getting proper voltage, I replaced the door switch (not required). I'm slowly finding additional sensors and switches to test, but I'm wondering if these Upper and Lower Thermostats would prevent a drier from starting? In my drier they are not to easy to get to so I haven't tested them yet..if that's even possible.
Answer Tom, Yes the thermostats or thermal fuse could cause the unit to not start and you would want to get in and test all of them. Also test power where the power cord reaches the terminal block on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 27, 2016
