Jtm for Model Number GE GTWN4250D0WS I am replacing a leaking tub seal (wh02x10383) for washer model GE GTWN4250D0WS and not certain if I have failed to completely remove the old tub seal or if there is a pressed in metal landing for this washer tub assembly that should not be removed. Several videos of this GE washer model appear to show the tub assembly is only the tub mold (with no metal landing). So either I have a slightly different version of this tub assembly or what I see "pressed in" to the tub assembly (where the tub seal would land) is part of the old seal. The part is clearly metal but I believe the tub seal is reinforced with metal so possibly it is still stuck in the washer tub assembly.
Answer Hello Jtm, There should be no metal in the bottom of the tub assembly when the seal is removed. The part you are referring to should be removed before installing the new seal. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, October 14, 2017
