Pw for Model Number GE 27.7 cu. ft. GFE28 HMHES I GET NO WATER WHEN PADDLE SWITCH IS DEPRESSED. I REPLACED RFID WATER FILTER BOARD AND JUST INSTALLED A WATER INLET VALVE. NEITHER ICE MAKER WORKS AS THERE IS NO WATER TO EITHER UNIT. WHEN PADDLE SWITCH IS DEPRESSED THERE IS NO NOISE AND MESSAGES ARE REPLACE WATER FILTER AND THE DISPENSER IS OFF. HOW DO I TURN THE WATER DISPENSER ON?
Answer PW, Make sure that the filter that you used is a GE RFID filter. If it is not then this will be the issue as it will not allow filtered water without the RFID in the unit unless you have the Bypass in.
