Toni C. for Model Number WLSR2000G3WW At first when I would push the knob in to set the washer, it acted like it was stripped out and wouldn't turn the arrow. I could still use it by spinning the arrow by itself. Today, I started the washer and it ran over in the floor from the tub but when I move the knob manually to drain/spin it went thru the spin cycle and cut off on its own. Is this a timer problem? if not, what else could be the problem?
Answer Toni, How did you stop the water from coming into the machine ? If you had to turn the water faucets off, that would indicate a bad water inlet valve WH13X10026 . If you had to unplug the power cord to stop the water, that would indicate a bad water level switch WH12X10065 or bad air dome hose WH41X365. There is a very slight chance the problem, may be in the timer, but very slight. You may want to remove the timer knob and dial, and apply some lubricant to the timer shaft, allow it to flow down the shaft and into the timer body, and pull and push on the shaft a few times, to "loosen" up the assembly, and make it operate more normally. Good Luck. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 12, 2011
