Rich for Model Number sca1000 I'm getting arcing from the left sidewall of my microwave. I believe it's coming from what's called the wave guide cover. The cover has a burn hole in it. Will replacing the cover prevent the arcing or is the arcing a sign of something more serious. Thanks
Answer Hi. The wave guide part # WB06X10311 needs to be replaced after the arched area is sanded to the bare metal and repainted a few times after drying. The most likely reason is that the microwave magnetron part # WB27X10309 tip is shorted. Remove the cover and see if the mag. tip is melted. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Change the diode part # WB27X10037 if it reads either 0- ohms (-or-) open (infinity) both ways. Thank You. Read More...
