Matt for Model Number MER6775AAS The bake element of the upper oven does not heat up. We checked the continuity back to the control board and verified the heating element itself is about 30 ohms. Is there anything else I should check or does this indicate a new control board is needed? And if control board, is a special tool needed to remove the wiring harness connectors? They seem to be held on by the metal fastener and not the plastic housing clip. Thanks in advance.
Answer Matt, With the upper element not working and the element and wiring checks ok then you would want to replace the control board. There is no special tool required to replace the board. You may want to use needle nose pliers to pull the terminals off if there is difficulty pulling them off by hand. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 23, 2015
