Jim for Model Number MER6770AAW My Maytag Gemini bakes for awhile then interrupts baking in the lower oven and the control panel gives an F-1 code, which says to check the upper oven temperature sensor for malfunction. Though the sensor seemed OK, the problem recurred and gave the same code, so I replaced the upper sensor with a new one. Now the same problem is occurring even though the new sensor is fine. Does this mean the control panel is acting up? It seems to work OK. What should I test next, and how?
Answer Jim, You will want to check the wiring between the control and the oven sensor to ensure that the wires are good. If they are good then you would want to replace the control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 8, 2015
