Nick for Model Number mer6755aaq There has to be an alternative to the "cancel button" for the top oven. I have owned my oven since 2007 and this is the second time it went out. The first time it was within the extended warranty I purchased (luckily). I just called maytag and they said it was $250 for the part and $25 for shipping. This is ridiculous! Obviously this is a common problem. Everywhere I read customers are talking about it. Do they expect me to spend $150-$250 every few years to replace one button that doesnt work? Every other button works perfect, but the cancel button for the top oven (twice)! So please just get us a cheap part to fix it once and for all, like a fuse or something. Not an expensive motherboard for one button that seems to be faulty!
Answer Hello Nick! I do apologize for the continued issues you are having with your Maytag appliance. I understand that it can be frustrating, especially with an expensive part. To correct the cancel button issue you will need to purhcase the electronic control W10769079, if needed the overlay is part number 74009995. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not supply any sort of fuses for your mother board that we would be able to suggest as a replacement part. Thank you for your inquiry. Read More...
