Andy for Model Number MER6775BAF While baking (may have happened when the top oven door was opened, not sure), all lights on control panel shut off. Stove top works, and warm indicator light works. Unplugged the oven for a time and back in. Still no lights. Tried a self test (top cancel and clock), but no beep, no lights, nothing. Is there any doubt that that it could only be the control panel (AP4358958)? Would there be anything else to troubleshoot? Oven has not been moved or anything like that. Thank you.
Answer Hello Andy. You need to test for power coming to the control board W10769079 in the unit. If there is power there and the display does not work, you will need to order and replace the control board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
