Eric T for Model Number Maytag Mer6755 The primary cooktop element of the 4 cooktop elements does not function properly. It cycles on and off, and generally will only heat up by running on high. Is there a controller / regulator for this heating element and how do you replace it?

To replace you would open oven door and take out 1 screw on either side, Lift up on top and slide forward. Disconnect harness connector at the back and turn cooktop over. When replacing element pay attention to which numbers the clips are attached to so that when you put it back on they will be in the same position. Read More...
