Pat for Model Number 795.75546400 I've been working on this Kenmore fridge and am a little stumped. The compressor short-cycles about 8 seconds every 3-4 minutes. Because the compressor actually starts, I ruled out a bad PTC assembly (but maybe I should not have). Thinking that the overload protector was bad, I replaced that. Still have the same issue. I know that some refrigerators use a start relay (PTC) and a run capacitor but I don't see the run cap listed as such for this model. I have looked at part number AP4591438 but I'm not certain that it's for the compressor - the exploded parts drawing is not clear but it does not appear to be in the area of the compressor. Thinking maybe it's for the evap fan but would that fan need a cap? Bottom line is that I need to find out why this is not running properly.
Answer Pat, The compressor running for short periods could be caused by a bad capacitor which the capacitor is part number 0CZZJB2014L. The relay could also be causing the issue as well. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, November 12, 2013
