Masoud for Model Number WM2688HNM LG Washer Hi there, I am trying to decide if I need to order a drain pump. I removed the drain and recirculation pumps and checked for continuity using old craftsman volt meter. The drain pumps shows resistance and audible signal sounds. Same test on the recir pump and it shows 23 ohms and no audible sound. I put the unit back together and ran a speed wash cycle, which is 30 min. After 8 minutes from wash to rinse mode, the machine hums and do not move forward. There is water in the tub. I tried this couple of times, with similar result. Although, I may have gone thru the entire cycle the day before including draining after pausing and continuing. Question: Do I need to order a drain pump? recirculation pump or something else is wrong? I did not get an error message...... I am contemplating buying a new washer but if I can fix it, It would be a preferred option. I did change the bearing a few months back. Best Regards, Masoud
Answer Masoud, You will want to check to make sure that you are getting 120 vac to the motor. If you are then the issue will most likely be a bad drain pump and if there is no power then the issue will be a faulty main control board. Read More...
