Don G. for Model Number WM1812CW Washer will not drain and the OE error message flashed. There was a faint hum (relay?)and a slight electrical odor. After manually draining the lines and filter were cleaned. Other cycle functions seem to work. I believe a replacement pump is needed. The stacked are built into a tight area. Can the pump be accessed from the front without the need disassemble the cabinetry?
Answer Hi Don. Yes, The drain pump is at fault with the OE - Code. Part # 4681EA2001T. The LG washers are amongst the most challenging units to access interior parts. If you are patience enough and can reach in from the back, you can successfully change the drain pump. You remove the power always. Or you will remove the top, soap dispenser, console, door and front panel. This by way of loosening the front of the boot, and the door switch. Thank You. Read More...
