Harold S for Model Number LG dle7177rm Hi, my LG DLE7177RM dryer wouldn't heat. I replaced the heater unit (not even sure it was bad) and then (possibly before too) the dryer wouldn't heat on any cycle other than the timed-dry cycle (none of the pre-set cycles worked for heat). I'm thinking it's the circuit board BUT --- how often would you guess that it's the centrifugal switch thing that's on the motor (the one that slides on the shaft when the motor is running that lets the heater turn on) that's the cause of the problem?
Answer Hello Harold. If it works on one cycle, but not the other, you will need to replace the control board in the unit. Also, make sure the thermistor is good in the unit as well. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, July 16, 2013
