Jack for Model Number DLE3777W Hi, We have an LG3777W dryer, when the unit is started it hums but the drum will not roll. If I turn the drum manually, the dryer will work. Do I need to replace the motor? Thanks Jack
Answer Jack, Before you replace the motor, you want to check and make sure there are no loose connections or damaged wires at the terminal block on the back of the dryer. You also want to check the voltage at the terminal block, when you start the dryer. From each outer terminal (L1 and L2) to the center terminal (neutral) you must have at least 105 VAC when the dryer starts. Then test the voltage at the BL2 connector on the control board(across the brown and yellow wires) If all's OK, then replace the motor. Read More...
