Hello Gunther, There is no reason why changing the orifice would cause this. I would first double check the electrical connections. Since the gas valve cannot open until the ignitor is pulling from 3.2 to 3.6 amps of current, the ignitor is most likely not the issue. You should, however, check the burner assembly for rust and proper installation/positioning.
