Matt for Model Number DLE251GW Have LG dryer that functions properly for about 15 mins then back of dryer towards top get extremely hot and dryer kicks off. Vent is completely free of lint and obstruction and I have thoroughly cleaned inside of dryer completely of all lint including motor. Obviously the excessive heat is turning the dryer off but is the heat building up do to motor shutting off or is there a sensor that is causing the element to get to hot shutting shutting dryer down. I'm stumped! Thanks Matt
Answer Hello Matt. Test the exhaust temp and if it cycles, you have a bad motor on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
