The dryer alone, I can select the cycle that I want, but when I press on, nothing happens. I felt a burning smell and I stopped it. When I press on, I hear a little twitch. Answer Sonia, First, see if you can manually spin the drum by hand easily. There is a thermal cutoff in the unit that shuts it down usually located close to the exhaust exit by the heater.
