Randy for Model Number LFXC24726S The ice maker storage space in the slim door seems to be experiencing a lot of ice build up It looks as if Where the water dumps into the ice maker is allowing the water to overflow and run down the side of the collector bin for the ice This is becoming worse every time I look at it Any suggestions on what the problem could be ?
Answer Randy, It will only be one of two possibilities, either the ice maker is overfilling or the water valve is not sealing good when it finishes cycling. You can always disconnect the water tube in the upper back wall of the unit where the water enters your freezer compartment on the back of the unit and cycle the ice maker and use a cup to let the water flow and see if it stops flowing when voltage is no longer present.
