Fred for Model Number LDS4821ST Our LG dishwasher is making a high pitch whin the entire time it is washing. I have done a bunch of research that indicated it was a motor bearing gone bad most likely from a bearing seal leak. I then noticed there are several diferent motors. I am thinking the problem is AP5325099 because of the location. Do you know which motor has been giving LG customers a high pitch headache? Thank you for your time.
Answer Hello Fred. Either motor can cause a high pitched whine. All it takes is a foreign object such as a bread tie to make its' way into the unit. I would suspect the circulation pump 4681ED1004B before the drain pump because of the servive calls I've experienced. If it were mine, I would remove the drain pump EAU61383518 and insure no foriegn objects were in the impeller before replacing the circulation pump. Hope this helps! Read More...
